When we rescued Perry from the abandoned school, she was terrified, unwell, and desperately trying to protect her puppies. We may never know what she endured on the streets or what humans did to make her so afraid.

For days, she refused to eat and needed fluid therapy while our team patiently cared for her.

Today, we finally have some wonderful news.

Perry has started eating... and for the first time, she is responding to gentle human touch. ❤️

She is still shy and frightened, but every small step feels like a huge victory.

Her puppies are happy, playful, and thriving. Now we just need to help Perry heal too.

Maya is one of the oldest souls in our donkey sanctuary… and one of the most special. ❤️

She arrived carrying the scars of a lifetime of hard work, but she also arrived with something beautiful... a family.

Today, Maya spends her days surrounded by her daughter, her son, her grandchild coming soon, and even an adopted son who chose her as his mother. Watching them together feels like watching a little family that finally found peace after a lifetime of struggle.

Gentle, kind, and wise, Maya has become the heart of our donkey sanctuary. She may be old and fragile, but she is deeply loved by everyone around her.

Meet Ranger. 💔🫏

Used.

Abused.

And when his broken body could no longer serve humans, he was thrown away.

One of our team members found him sitting helplessly on the roadside.

A terrible accident had shattered his front leg. The swelling is severe, and the injury appears devastating. He could barely move.

I'm,Because the injury is to his front leg, even the simple ing for food or water had become almost impossible.

So he sat there...

Waiting.

In pain.

Alone.

His body tells the story of a lifetime of suffering. Every scar, every wound, every sign of neglect speaks of years spent serving humans without kindness in return.

He is now safe at TAWF's Second Chance Hospital & Sanctuary, where our veterinary team has started treatment. We will also seek expert advice to determine what options remain for him.

Right now, we simply do not know what the future holds.

But we do know that he deserves a chance.

A chance to be cared for.

A chance to be loved.

A chance to know that not all humans will abandon him when he needs them most.

Please help us give Ranger that chance. His diagnostics, treatment, medication, food, and long-term care will be costly, and we cannot do it alone.
