Midday, Friday the 11th September I will be attending Charing Cross police station to have a little chat with the police about blasphemy. I've chosen to do this as I've been warned that not attending may bring unjust consequences for my family.
Come along, it'll be lots of fun.
At 4pm that day we will be doing Let Women Speak at the Chelsea and Westminster butchering hospital where they make fake penises and cut women's breasts off.
Women's rights campaigning is having a big day out.
A Muslim told me,
“Jesus’ crucifixion never happened, and you cannot find any historical evidence outside Christianity to prove it.”
So I said,
“Okay, I don’t believe Muhammad existed. There is no historical evidence outside Islam that proves his existence.”
He immediately said,
“Hold on! Let me show you non-Islamic sources that prove Muhammad existed. Christian and Byzantine writers mentioned a prophet among the Arabs.”
I asked him,
“Do you actually believe those sources?”
He said,
“💯 Absolutely.”
I said,
“Okay, then let’s apply the same standard to Jesus. There are also historical sources outside Christianity that mention Jesus’ crucifixion.
Tacitus, a Roman historian who was certainly not a Christian, wrote that Jesus was executed under Pontius Pilate.
Josephus, a Jewish historian who was not a Christian either, also wrote about Jesus and his followers and referred to his execution.
So, do you believe these sources?”
He said,
“Errrmm… I don’t believe! Christians made those sources up, the Quran says Jesus wasn’t crucified, so I believe the Quran.”
And that’s where the double standard becomes obvious.
I said,
“By that same logic, I don’t believe Muhammad existed and Muslims made up the non-Islamic sources about Muhammad to convince people he existed.”
He said:
“I have something to stand on. The Quran is my proof that Jesus was not crucified.”
I said,
““I also have something to stand on, the Bible and the four Gospels, which were written long before the Quran by eyewitnesses and those who knew the eyewitnesses. The Bible clearly records that Jesus was crucified and rose again.”
Then came the response: “See, allah made it appear that way. The Bible has been corrupted over time.”
So I said:
“I don’t accept the Quran as a source that overrides the earlier testimony about Jesus, especially when Muhammad did not meet Jesus or His apostles. The Bible is sufficient evidence for my faith that Jesus was crucified and resurrected.
You cannot ask me to accept non-Christian historical sources when they support Muhammad’s existence, while rejecting non-Christian historical sources when they support Jesus’ crucifixion simply because the Quran says otherwise.
You’re applying one standard to Muhammad and another standard to Jesus.
That’s a double standard.”
@Kassandra_Zerb@ThePosieParker@darcwood7@KDansky Kellie-Jay is anti-violence as are LWS attendees. If you watch Speaker's Corner you'll see us deescalating situations, sometimes under great provocation. These men hate women speaking. So we'll speak even louder. The threat won't go away by sticking your head in your arse.
