Let's walk through it!
Gordo’s inspiration for Kodas came from us talking about the machine elves, the entities that some people encounter while doing dmt.
“You pass through a membrane of some sort, and you see the tykes, as I call them. The self-transforming machine elves that are singing in a hyper-dimensional language. They surround you and say, “Welcome, we’re so glad to see you.’”-Terrence McKenna
We kinda got left out of the process on Kodas after he directed the initial designs of em, but we still love the collection.
Kodas will forever be at the core of Otherside, and the 3D designs are coming out incredible. Still it’s amazing to see all the learnings yuga has made over the past several years get applied to making a truly hallucinatory pfp collection: kodamaras.
Also, don’t do dmt.
Last piece of work i completed for Yuga alongside the Kodamara collection. thought this might never see the light of day tbh. 6 months of work from conception, writing, to music. This one is close to my heart.
since some people reached out to me on here and other platforms about working with OS, I feel like I should let you all know that I'm no longer at Yuga. 1 year of being on this wild ride was rewarding and comical without a doubt. (1/3)
Thank you Voyagers for allowing me to be part of this journey. I've met some great people along the way. For now I'm focusing on my studio and consulting. I'm still part of some of the communities, feel free to say hi. (3/3)
I had the privilege of shaping Otherside, from building the creative team, forming the in-engine art direction that you see today, leading 2nd Trip, to making Gucci KodaPendant and LOTM. The Kodamara are crazy fun :). Can't wait to see what the team will do to top them. (2/3)
