i might get why some fans try to connect with other artists through the boys’ song recommendations. as a libra lol, i think the intention is really just “make love, not war.”

but you can’t expect everyone to be nice, especially strangers on the internet. your music taste doesn’t define you, and your faves aren’t your role models.

this shituation has happened before. if some fans still don’t get it, maybe they’re new. maybe it’s just not our job to educate everyone. i just wish it could be as simple as: “hey, my faves like your song, dude.” “oh, i don’t like them.” “damn, you’re mean. bye. adios. sayonara forever.”

and that’s it.

what is our job is deciding what kind of fandom we want to be. every post, comment, and interaction shapes how people see cortis and coers. whether we realize it or not, we’re all doing marketing.

i mean… i once dated a guy with the exact same music taste as me. thought he was the one. he was just an asshole lol.

so before i hit send, i always ask myself: “will this help cortis, or will it only satisfy my emotions for a moment?”
