For our RE Day, we learned about the origins of Sikhism and the teachings of the gurus. Lots of children recognised many similarities between their teachings and those in Islam and Christianity
Our learning of the British Isles this week has been about cities and towns, and using 8 compass points to find out where places are in comparison to a starting point. Our map reading skills are just amazing!
We are so enthusiastic about our research of counties, especially using maps, atlases and the internet to find facts about the greatest county of them all - YORKSHIRE!
In science, we’ve learned that sound can travel through liquids, solids and gases by vibrating particles. We experimented with string ‘telephones’ to answer questions about how sound travels through a solid 👨🏽🔬🧑🏻🔬
In maths, we have been explaining our different methods for calculating to our class. This really embeds our understanding and develops a wide range of strategies. ➕✖️➖➗
For our final science lesson this half term, we looked at the different types of habitats in our school ground and the living things that live there. We saw rabbit warrens, birds’ nests and many mini beast habitats!
