@StoneysBleeding Have you ever tried using a phone at a big gig with thousands of people? It doesn’t work well even at normal times. Also stop weaponising Manchester. It is still very raw for people here and you have no right to weaponise this city’s pain.
Also Manchester is a huge music city. It is really one of the worst possible places to use as a checkmate for being allowed to watch live music through a screen rather than actually be in the moment and experience it.
As someone who lives in Manchester, you people need to stfu for your own good before more people here find out you’re weaponising their pain and grief. There were MANY failures that contributed to that tragedy and they were systemic. Individuals having phones did not change that.
@hfkzelda wholeheartedly agree. Venues, security etc can assure you you'll be okay. That's not the case and there is PLENTY of examples to show. One word. Manchester.
Imagine your phone locked away and you can't contact a loved one.
If you’ve ever been to a big gig, you’ll know that service becomes bad even at normal times because there are so many people in one area. In a disaster that only gets worse. It’s not a good method for sharing information.
