Anyone else’s job ever make them feel like a firefighter except the whole town is on fire and you have to decide which buildings need extinguished the most?
This morning, I read a verse that caused me to ask myself this question:
Does a room light up when I walk in or when I leave?
BE THE LIGHT
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16
When you’re kind, people will see it. When you’re loving, people will feel it. And when you’re real, people will know it.
Your character will always speak louder than words.
romanticize your life. i cannot stress this enough. use scented shower gel and shampoo, so you look forward to showers. go on walks and see how pretty the sky looks. notice the wildflowers on the roadside as you drive. light a candle when you get home to make your room smell good
God,
Thank you for instilling in me gifts that empower me to continue growing. Sometimes it can be scary not knowing what’s ahead, but as I wait on you, I will continue preparing my heart for the greatness you have laid out for me. May you water every seed that will honor you.
Jesus never promised that we wouldn’t struggle. If anything, the Word says that we will in fact endure trials/suffering. BUT, He does promise to restore & provide us with His strength in the midst of those struggles. we just have to remain steadfast in Him alone. (1 peter 5:10)
