I think there needs to be a conversation about older people being radicalised online because that conversation is only ever framed through the prism of young people when evidently it’s happening to the older generation too. It’s really scary these are people’s grandparents.
This is James Orr.
James is the head of policy for Reform UK. He also works for Cambridge university.
James believes gay marriage is wrong, and believes abortion should be illegal.
James Orr has also been linked to a far right eugenicist movement involving Peter Theil and Nathan Cofnas that claims black people are less intellect than white people.
Safeguarding concerns have been raised about his conduct with students at Cambridge, with regards to unprofessional boundaries (them living with him) and concerns about far right grooming. Cambridge have ignored these concerns.
Pretty alarming stuff.
Jason Arday's story has "fallen" off the news cycle. But we cannot let this stand. Shame has to change sides, as Gisele Pelicot told us. And it's now our turn: the UK press needs to take a long, hard look at itself.
