Just tried Beats Studio Pro headphones in Chroma and absolutely regret it.
I KNOW that I won't be able to stop myself from buying it in the future.
So much for saving money.
The boomers are a weird generation. Never heard anybody else yap so kuch about nationalism, integrity, dignity, standing on your feet etc as much as them but they consistently don't stick to any of it but even deliberately go against it for self-interest
Rules for thee, not for me.
@ABConvosWE Iirc this isn't the first time they did this with Paige. They went on a spam fest attacking her personally a few years back.
Absolute virgin behaviour from them.
So, what was the point of claiming that communities will be shut down and then not doing shit?
Don't get me wrong, it doesn't effect me either ways as most of the communities were garbage spam-fest but that was a weird move nonetheless.
At the moment I don't care about Fable.
I'm sure it's great, but I haven't touched any coding agents this month, tokens are just too expensive.
Even having it in Copilot changes nothing for me.
That said, I'll probably try it once I get inspired to work on a real (personal) project.
Most apps fail because they ignore what users are actually thinking.
Before tapping:
→ What can I do?
→ How do I do it?
After tapping:
→ What did I get?
→ Was this what I wanted?
Those seconds(in most cases, even less than a second) of thinking makes or breaks the application.
@ThePrimeagen Nah, it's the opposite for me.
Alarms start going off as the lines increase, more often than not, it means I'm stuffing too much logic into the same function/file.
Ask yourself the following questions and get the concrete answers for each of them:
➡️ How does the user know that something went wrong?
➡️ What went wrong?
➡️ What should the user do when something goes wrong?
And this needs to be applied recursively to every part of the s/m.
The user is never wrong and they are NEVER dumb.
If the user is not capable of navigating the system or the product, the fault almost always is in the design.
It's the design that's incapable of accommodating the user.
When it comes to accommodating users, as a designer, you need to make sure that you're providing appropriate feedback not only when things are going right but also when things are going wrong.
So, how do we make the system "fail safe"? 👇
My parents got the bathroom renovated and it looks like ass.
I get where they are coming from whem it comes to frugality but I'm tired.
I legit don't want to offer any kind of QoL improvements to them for now, as it'll only lead to further degradation.
Don't DM the interviewer(LinkedIn or otherwise) asking for the results, they almost always don't have the authority to communicate anything related to the interview to the candidates(unless it's a startup where there's no dedicated HR department).
