I don’t look at these photos and think, well there’s a young man who needs to trial more conventional therapies because just maybe...the 17th or 18th drug might work without harming him.
unlike some others moved this week, this motion doesn’t needlessly defer a call for action to the time in which @tasmanianlabor forms government
the Opposition can, and should, progress this through Parliament at the first available opportunity #politas
Better still ask the man who fixed "it" @fergusonmichael or the current Health Minister who would be expected to keep up with access to medicine. #politas
A decade ago we hosted a forum in Launceston.
What has changed since then?
Access/affordability for patients remains an issue.
There is still a significant number of patients who don't even realise it is legal now.
Patients who are happy to self provide are not supported.

@anthony_dodd1@7tasnews Schedule 8 cannabis medicines also need State approval. Unless that has changed and they haven't updated the info on the DoH website.
She says the TGA is reviewing unregistered medicinal cannabis and that it’s an evolving space and that the gov is committed to working through this space @7tasnews#politas
I don't know how to put into words..
A family member who has long used cannabis medicinally now has a legal prescription.
I am so happy for them.
It has been a battle for Tasmanians to be sure, but finally patients are getting what they deserve 💚
A face I'd rather forget.
A health minister who denied Tasmanians access to medicine.
A man who put his warped, outdated morals above the health and well being of very unwell people.
I never thought he would be so fiercely opposed to saying yes, I'll help.

Senators in Tassie at the moment with hemp inquiry I hope they also take the time to read through patient/carer submissions to the TGA consultation for medicinal cannabis #politas

I have some big news!
Today, we’re locking in a new 1,000-person Convention Centre for Launceston.
For some time now, this city has been crying out for a development like this.
So we’re stepping up, and partnering with Tasmanian stalwart Errol Stewart to get it built.
The new Convention Centre is going to double the number of business events Launceston can hold each year, unlocking $30m in extra economic activity to the region annually.
The equivalent of 4 Foo Fighters concerts each and every year.
Our $10m investment will ensure the $35m project will go ahead at Kings Wharf, with the plans for a new hotel next door well underway.
This is going to mean jobs, opportunity and wealth for Northern Tasmanians.
Not just in construction, but over decades to come.
And that’s what it’s all about.
There's so many side effects that parents finding cannabis for their kids is often the very FIRST time they can medicate their kids without the very real risks associated with AEDs.
Problem is Drs and legislators are not listening.
I can tell you. It's a long list. It's drugs that aren't tested in children. It's drugs that can be fatal with conditions such a SJS, respiratory arrest, psychosis, suicidal ideation. Drugs causing PCOS, aggression, depression, weight changes, bone density issues, insomnia..
How much per ticket?
We just spent over $700.00 for medicine.
That will last just a little over a month.
Little left for such luxury spending on a disability pension.
