One of the hardest times of the season.
Itโs Senior Day for LSU Baseball. A day where you realize just how much certain players meant to this program.'
And itโs hard to explain what players like Chris Stanfield mean to a program.
Not because of the stats or headlines. But because of the way he carried himself every single day.
I can say for a fact that Stanny gave LSU everything he had. Every dive. Every sprint. Every at-bat. Every single moment, he played for the name on the front of the jersey. He gave it his all.
He is forever a national champion.
A great player on the field, and from everything people say about him, an even better person off the field.
Thank you for helping bring a championship back to Baton Rouge, Stanny. Players like you are what make LSU Baseball what it is. Gonna miss seeing you play at the Box.
Forever LSU!
"97% of the Earth is covered by water, the other 3% is covered by Chris Stanfield"
Jay Johnson shifted Chris Stanfield from center field to left field at the beginning of the offseason.
The senior quickly acclimating to the position and adding to his highlight reel.

HIGHLIGHTS: #LSU 7, Southeastern 2
The Tigers handle business and pull away late against the Lions in game one of the doubleheader.
Zach Yorke went yard, Derek Curiel added a few RBI singles, and the defense was superb.
I'm always here to root for our local guys.
Seeing someone you covered in youth and high school baseball reach the pinnacle in college is pretty freaking cool. It never gets old!
Congrats to Chris Stanfield and the Tigers. They're cooking in Baton Rouge!
