The older I get, the more I understand why people disappear into gardening, baking, reading, and long walks. Not because life got boring. Because peace became valuable.
Don't let a 10-minute problem consume a 24-hour day. The email was uncomfortable. The taxi was late. The conversation went poorly. Feel it, deal with it, then allow the rest of your life to remain intact.
I donโt believe that most people abandon their dreams because they failed. I believe they abandon them long before that. When they believe that failure is inevitable and they do not possess the talent, discipline or conviction to carry their dreams to the end.
Most of the films deal with people who are stuck in certain routines and habits that don't make them happy. They want to change, but they need something to push them. I think it's mostly love that causes them to break their routines and move on.
The finish line is a myth. You cross it, and there's another race. Another mountain. Another goal. Another problem to solve. Stop living for the end. Fall in love with the running. Dress well. Eat good. Have fun. That's all there is.
Somewhere out there is a woman who feels things very deeply, spends too much time overthinking, is incredibly proud of how far sheโs come, but is also figuring out what she wants the next chapter of her life to look like.
