K. Sean Cameron was sworn in as LPD's newest sergeant. Mayor Ward administered the oath of office to Sean, who was supported by several members of our LPD team. He will be ceremoniously sworn in at the August 4th Lyndhurst City Council meeting. Congratulations Sgt. Cameron!

It is with great sadness that the Lyndhurst Police Department shares the passing of retired police K-9 Aries. Aries passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025, with his devoted human family by his side. Rest easy K-9 Aries, we will take if from here. #K9Aries #restinpeace

As you prepare for the Memorial Day holiday, you'll likely see more law enforcement on the roads as part of the Click It or Ticket campaign. LPD will be keeping a close eye on the roads with extra emphasis on seat belt violations, impaired/distracted drivers, and speeding.
