Just for anyone who is interested, I tried phoning HMRC at 8am and although it took 40 mins, they answered and solved my query so best to phone first thing!

Absolutely ridiculous! Been trying to contact HMRC for weeks now. Been on hold for hours with no one answering. What do I do now @HMRCcustomers? If you cannot cope with the volume of calls surely you should hire more staff or at least have another method of contact!

@HMRCcustomers The only tax calculation letters that we have received are for the year 20/21. We haven’t received any for 18/19 and the only reason I know we haven’t been awarded on the other years is because it states so on my online account

@HMRCcustomers I made the application online on the 18/4/23 and received my letter and first cheque a couple of days after that

@HMRCcustomers I applied for Marriage tax allowance and received a cheque with refund for the year 20/21 but not year 18/19 (the years in between we didn’t qualify) I want to enquire about the missing refund.
