can we talk about how adorable the height difference between stolas and stella is?! 😭💕 she's practically tiny compared to him!

but honestly, something that really disappointed me was how stolas didn't even acknowledge her. not a single word. he just seemed determined to avoid her altogether.

and seriously, why run away?! 😭💀

he voluntarily went back to the castle! did it seriously never cross his mind that he might run into stella there sooner or later?

why go there completely unprepared to face that possibility, only to start hiding and avoiding her the moment she's around?

like, dude, wake up! 😭

everyone already knows what happened. there's no point hiding from the situation now. if he really couldn't handle seeing her, maybe he shouldn't have gone there in the first place.

to me, stolas really is the king of missed opportunities.

once again, he had the chance to actually do something about his problems, but instead of taking it, he chose to walk away.

he could have stayed, approached stella, taken her aside, and tried to have a proper conversation with her.

he didn't have to forgive her, be affectionate, or pretend everything was fine. but he could have at least tried to address their situation instead of turning his back and leaving.

and here's another thing that frustrates me.

stolas has always seemed to consider himself so much smarter than stella, almost treating her like she's an idiot.

so if he's supposedly so intelligent, why doesn't he use that intelligence when it actually matters?

he could have redirected the conversation, handled the situation diplomatically, or at least made an effort to get through to her.

and honestly, i think stella might actually be someone you can reason with if you know how to approach her.

i don't think she's necessarily impossible to talk to. maybe you just need to understand her personality, choose your words carefully, and know how to handle her without immediately turning everything into an argument.

especially when vassago, who barely knows stella, seemed to have absolutely no trouble handling her. he managed to navigate that interaction almost effortlessly!

if vassago could do it, couldn't stolas at least try?

i'm not saying stolas should manipulate her, but surely he could have found a way to communicate with her instead of immediately retreating.

because stolas clearly holds resentment toward stella too, and completely ignoring her isn't going to make that resentment disappear.

and honestly, i don't think either of them is going to move forward if they keep avoiding the conversations they need to have.

they don't have to like each other, but they still have one incredibly important thing in common: octavia.

for her sake, i really hope they eventually sit down and have a serious conversation, even if it's uncomfortable.

maybe stolas will finally take the initiative, although i'm not particularly optimistic.

or perhaps stella will be the one to approach him and ask for help with whatever might happen to octavia.

because at some point, they need to put their mutual resentment aside and actually communicate as parents.

and stolas walking away every time he has the chance to confront an uncomfortable situation isn't going to solve anything.

he keeps missing opportunities to make things better, and that's honestly one of the most frustrating things about his character.
