Arizona Forestry implementing additional fire restrictions on State Trust lands due to an uptick in fire activity & hot/dry conditions.

Starting Thurs. 5/21 at 8am:

🔥Stage 1 restrictions for State Trust lands w/n Coconino, Mohave & Yavapai Counties. Campfires allowed w/n designated or developed campsites. No charcoal use.

🔥Stage 2 restrictions for State Trust lands w/n La Paz & Yuma Counties. No campfires.

🚫Target shooting & fireworks are not allowed on State Trust lands.

🔥Hazen Fire Update: May 3 @ 2:20pm:

Please find alternate travel routes and do not enter the fire area along SR 85 and Hazen Road. Non-emergency traffic is impeding fire response and suppression efforts. Law enforcement has been requested to manage traffic in the area.

Air Attack and a helicopter have been ordered to support firefighters on the ground with water bucket drops, primarily on the northeast side of the Hazen Fire.

A Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) is being implemented for the fire. Remember: Wildfires are a No Drone Zone. If you fly, we can’t. Unauthorized drones and aircraft can ground firefighting aircraft and delay critical firefighting suppression operations.

The #HazenFire remains 0% contained and is estimated at 558 acres.
