@rachelmyers They try and reach out, but in a lot of cases there's like olds or incorrect emails that they reach out to, which don't necessarily get them anywhere
If you are looking for an async job, ask the company what they think async means… some think it means providing/giving info and breaking down work in a way that allows you to progress independently and others think it means monitoring you with robots and never talk to you.
@shmeadyy@github I haven’t seen it as much on the profile images because I think folks are more inclined to use photos versus logos…. But as a general rule anywhere I can have an image would transparent backgrounds would be 💖
Dear @github … if you are going to support dark and light themes and use them as backgrounds behind images (logos for my org) you HAVE to let me have a dark and light version of my logo.
Every once in a while you need a brand new programming language that's really basic and easy to use... And maybe doesn't even do all that much, but is extremely accessible. Any mature language has complexity that makes it too hard to be anyone's first language.

Are good at your job as an engineering manager? you will probably find that your bosses want to load you up with “more teams” and “more headcount”. This is totally a trap. More people, more problems. Did a great job? More pain is not a reward. Grow when it makes sense for you.

I am disgusted by the “prayers and moments of silence don’t cut it anymore” news headlines. THEY NEVER CUT IT. This is part of the problem. If you can’t openly admit that nothing has ever been done to help there is no hope to make any progress in the future.
