I might still be reviewer number two. Is it valid to say that I don’t understand the added value from the thing described? Is it just me being crazy? I actually think some of it is just wrong and the rest is just obvious.
Ah yes, the “if you pretend like you’re invisible, you will behave in a way that will make you safe on the road” crowd.
Guess what, pretending you’re invisible doesn’t make you safe. Having all of the visibility gear doesn’t make you safe.
@HannayJanice@mattdellok Interesting. Seems odd to preserve a fairly large spot for this, but I can see the utility if your building has a lot of deliveries going on.
Heisenberg, Schrodinger and Ohm are in a car.
They get pulled over. Heisenberg is driving and the cop asks him "Do you know how fast you were going?"
"No, but I know exactly where I am" Heisenberg replies. 1/3
@merrdiff@SheRidesABike Ha, it wasn’t even mileage it was “number of trips” because you know .. drop off to school and daycare, pick up from same, grocery store, work, parks, play places, .. so many places to go.
I still have some overhead transparencies (!!) from presentations in my grad school days. Today I pulled them out to demonstrate the "OG style slideshow" to my children. <3
@familyride What the actual f, Madi! This makes me so mad, both that they did it to anyone and that they did this to you - one of the nicest people I know. I hope their car breaks down, their paint guns get stolen, and they have to bike and walk everywhere for a year.
@somesarah Foot traffic seems pretty universally recognized as good for business. Bike traffic is way closer to foot traffic than car traffic, because I can actually look at the shops instead of just the street, I’m going slower, and I can stop more easily.
@gfaller6@HillsideCentre I’m not entirely certain that not using it until they move it would be my first response though .. because honestly, I wouldn’t be convinced that the impression wouldn’t be “no one wants bike valet” instead of “people want better bike valet”.
@gfaller6@HillsideCentre Truthfully though, they should move the valet because the entrances and exits are tight turns for a big bike. Maybe put it in the middle row and take both sides of the row and use the wider space? Would take more parking but none of the accessible spots.
@gfaller6@HillsideCentre Oh, but that front row accessible spot which is blocked Janice’s photo is not blocked .. I think. Or at least, it doesn’t need to be. They had a tent there when I showed up but I thought maybe it was just temporary because they folded that up and moved it away while I was there.
