Susanna Reid launched a blistering attack on Starmer’s excuses during Good Morning Britain as she tore into Trade Minister Douglas Alexander over Peter Mandelson’s disastrous security vetting failure.

She ripped into the government’s insulting spin, hammering home how ridiculous it is to expect the public to swallow that Prime Minister Keir Starmer, a former Director of Public Prosecutions who grilled the worst criminals in the country, somehow got completely hoodwinked by a sneaky word game from one of his own civil servants:

“You’re asking people to believe that a Prime Minister who used to be a Director of Public Prosecutions, who would regularly be grilling people accused of the most serious crimes, can have the wool pulled over his eyes by a simple rearrangement of words from a senior civil servant.”

“What hope have we got if a Prime Minister can be bamboozled in this way by a civil servant in his own government? It absolutely beggars belief and I imagine this morning viewers are asking, do you think we’re stupid?”

Starmer and his defensive MPs clearly hold zero respect for the British public, treating us all like gullible mugs who will believe any old nonsense.

My mother is an immigrant.

But she integrated. She came to Britain for a better life and spends every day repaying this country for all it has given her.

She speaks English, works, pays taxes, got her citizenship, and is proud to be British.

She hates the hoards of Islamists and illegal migrants who come to Britain with no intention of contributing to society. She loathes the displays of cultural domination. She abhors the idea of demanding that native society alter its culture and practices for the sake of “inclusivity” while those who demand it refuse to do the same.

It isn’t “inclusive” when 30,000 Muslims take over the streets to hold a public prayer demonstration.

They aren’t including.
They are dominating.

And it is foolish to suggest that their intention is anything besides domination.

If they truly wanted inclusivity, they would not be calling the police on Christian preachers and demanding they be removed from “their communities”.

If they truly wanted to co-exist, their leaders wouldn’t be holding rallies telling their followers that they will take over Britain and enforce the singular rule of Allah.

If they truly wanted peace, they wouldn’t chant “Death to Britain!” and burn our flags while threatening to rape and kill our wives and daughters.

My mother followed the law.
My mother loves Britain.
They don’t.

They don’t want to speak English. They don’t want to get a job. They don’t want to integrate. They don’t want to contribute to our economy. They don’t want to follow British customs and rules.

It isn’t racist to call out the blatant danger of radical Islam. It isn’t far-Right to want to protect our girls from child marriage and grooming gangs. It isn’t wrong to call a spade a spade.

My immigrant mother taught me many things, most importantly:

If you emigrate, you integrate.

Radical Islam has no place in civilised society, and we are allowed to call out the people who seek to destroy and dominate us.

HUGE CAR FINANCE NEWS: (pls share) Now most people who’ve had any type of it are being urged to complain – doubling the numbers.

Minutes ago, the regulator, The FCA, announced it's consulting for two weeks (so quick, it's a likely done deal) on extending the time firms have to handle motor finance commission complaints. This is on the back of a Court of Appeal ruling a couple of weeks ago and the extension is to incorporate a potential Supreme Court decision.

- The Key Bit: While not specified in its announcement, I've had it confirmed this applies to ALL car finance commission complaints, not just the Discretionary Commission Arrangements (DCAs) complaints previously covered.

- What this means: It signals that the FCA is paving the ground to in future broaden the scope of its car finance investigation, so not only at the 40% of past claims that had DCAs (where dealers could increase their commission by increasing interest) but all commissions including fixed commissions.

This is on the back of the Court of Appeal ruled 'consumers need to know all material facts including the amount of commission' which they often weren't told even in fixed commission cases.

It looks like (I need to dig) if the hold is extended, almost everyone who has had car finance deals may have a complaint (I need to examine timelines of what counts) and be potentially due money back (this includes those already rejected as they were told they 'didn't have a DCA')

This potentially more than doubles the number of people involved, and would really start to look more like PPI scale of payouts (and a substantial threat to the car finance industry)

- What should people do: The FCA will suggest people log their complaints sooner including fixed commission complaints, in order to avoid missing out due to a potential time bar. I will work with my MSE team to expand our MoneySavingExpert free complaints (that's already had 2.5m complaints through it) to help the new cohort of people who may be able to complain.

- What will the outcome be: I think this makes it more likely that DCA commission cases will get future payouts. For 'fixed' commissions, this isn’t about the FCA, it all strongly swings on if the Supreme Court upholds the Court of Appeal ruling (assuming it accepts the appeal to it, which the FCA has urged it to do, and to do at speed). That’s the key to if the FCA will broaden its scope.

These are provisional first thoughts, bashed out at speed, obviously there's more work to do, but it is big.
