#SocialJustice demands that we fight against the causes of poverty: inequality and the lack of labour, land, and lodging; against those who deny social and labour rights; and against the culture that leads to taking away the dignity of others.
Every baptized person is sent to announce the Good News by loving and serving others. We cannot remain mere spectators. Apostolic zeal impels us to always seek new ways of proclaiming and witnessing to God's love. #GeneralAudience
I know these are complex issues, which do not have simple solutions, but amidst all the politics, let's not forget that each 'migrant' 'asylum seeker' or 'refugee' is also a person, with hopes, aspirations and feelings.
Over the last number of years I have had the privilege of living alongside refugees and asylum seekers. I have met people who have fled oppressive regimes, have been trafficked, have been forced into marriage...
EVERY one of them has been kind, generous, funny... NOT a single one has been a burden to me or the people around me. They give far more than they take.
