There are moments in the life of a college that feel historic while they are happening. Friday was one of them.
The Lyon College School of Dental Medicine held its very first white coat ceremony at Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, welcoming 80 members of its inaugural class into a profession grounded in service, compassion and care. One by one, these future dentists stepped forward, put on their white coats and crossed a threshold into a calling that will change lives across Arkansas and beyond.
This class is already setting the tone. They are not only learning their craft, they are giving back, building connections and helping shape what this new school will become for generations to come. It was a beautiful, meaningful beginning and a proud day for Lyon College.
