Have loved being part of #Croker300 week. Shout out to the whole @RaidersCanberra commercial and marketing team for the work that's gone into the build-up.
@Jarrodcroker deserves every second of it and it's been awesome to relive his amazing career so far.
Bring on game day!
100%.
Multi sport kids read ball flight and angles better than single sport players.
Skills are transferable across all sports.
Let kids be kids for as long as possible.
Walk a lap at an underage cricket carnival you can pick multi sport kids in the field.
@13DSmith I’m glad it’s not just me. Young cricketers starting ‘pre-season’ in June and then football in January is the recipe for quitting sport at 19. Enjoy both, make a decision later.
Sweeping is such a specialist skill that not many have perfected. It’s crucial on spinning wickets but dangerous on bouncy wickets we have witnessed here. Don’t start me on Reverse 🤯😤 Usman / Morgan & Maxwell pretty good at it but so many others costing themselves & teams -POOR
Rest in Peace Rod Marsh.
One of a kind coach, mentor and person.
A lot of Crickets success in Australia is owed to Rod.
My thoughts go out to his family and the entire cricket community.
A sad day 😢
So incredibly sad to hear of the passing of Rod (Bacchus)Marsh an absolute icon of Aust cricket. Had the pleasure of working with Rod for a number of years as a selector and you wouldn’t meet a more honest, down to earth, kind hearted person. RIP🙏
Just took a moment at work to pause upon hearing the sad news of Rod Marsh passing. My childhood hero - posters on the wall growing up I idolized him. Thoughts & best wishes to his family at this time 💔🧤🏏
Vale Rodney Marsh…love to Ros and the boys…saddest of days…outstanding service to Australian cricket…great team mate…mention of his name makes me smile…brilliant dig 👏👏👏👏👏👏
A lesson on never forgetting your roots from Nathan Lyon. Left the celebration in the dressing-room & walked all the way with a few match-used jumpers to hand over to the groundstaff, despite them having given Australia a pitch where Lyon didn’t get to bowl a single ball #Ashes
I wouldn’t have survived as a young captain if it wasn’t for uncle Sia. One of the best blokes you will meet and as tough as they come. You made this club a far better place mate, put the feet up 💚🐐
Well done Devon Conway!
108 first class games over 7000 runs at an average of 47, years honing his skills, learning about his game, refining the art of batting.
Test debut at 29 years of age & peels off 200 at Lords.
Who’d of thought someone so old could make it? 🤷🏼♂️
