This Marine vet just survived two heart attacks, open heart surgery, three weeks on life support, and a nine-week hospital stay — fighting for his life like he once fought for our country.

Then the bills hit.

One stent alone is $498,000. Insurance only covered $22,000. Total charges? Over $2 million. The VA says “not our problem.” He’s staring at medical bankruptcy, getting collection calls, and wondering if he’ll spend the rest of his life looking over his shoulder. 💔

This is America in 2026. Medical expenses are completely out of control — even with insurance. Millions of families are drowning in debt just trying to stay alive. Average household medical debt is pushing $10,000+, and 41% of adults are carrying some form of it. One serious illness and your entire world collapses.

But here’s what gets me: This veteran — and every veteran — put their life on the line to defend this country. They deserve 100% coverage, no questions, no denials, no GoFundMe. Period. They earned it with blood, sweat, and sacrifice.

Meanwhile, our politicians get lifetime health coverage paid for by us taxpayers after just 5 years in office. Five years! That’s it. Subsidized premiums for life, courtesy of your tax dollars.

And most of them walk out of Washington already millionaires — from six-figure salaries, book deals, speaking fees, and insider connections. So why in the world are we still footing their medical bills too?

This veteran shouldn’t be lying awake worrying about bankruptcy. No veteran should.

We can do better. We must do better.
