At dawn, when you're reluctant to get up, have this thought readily available:`I have work to do as a human being, and that's why I'm getting up. Do I still resent it if I'm on my
way to do the work for which I was born and for the sake of
which I was brought into the world?
Or is this what I was made for, to lie in bed and keep myself warm?
"But it's really nice."
So is pleasure what you were born for? And, in general, was it
for feeling not for doing? Can't you see plants, sparrows, ants,
spiders, and bees all doing their own work and playing their part in the world's order? And are you then reluctant to do human work? Why aren't you eager to do what comes naturally to you?
"But rest is important too."
Yes, I agree. Nature has set limits on rest, however, as it has on eating and drinking as well; but aren't you overstepping those limits and taking more than suffices for
your needs? It's only when it comes to action that you haven't yet reached the limits of your abilities. And the reason is that you don't love yourself, If you did, you'd love your nature and it's purpose.

Don't worry about beating someone else at their own game, or chasing someone else's successes. You don't need to chase; you can run past others while looking at your own road.
Got to get a picture with Dennis too @reaganthemovie! Kind of a awkward interaction, but I wasn't expecting him to be the selfie taker. It threw me off! 🤣 Really though, his singing and stage presence made the @OfficialKrieger show all the more fun @TheWhiskyAGoGo!
Absolutely fantastic show at @TheWhiskyAGoGo on Saturday! @OfficialKrieger your playing is still phenomenal and being able to talk to you for even just a short bit was a dream come true for me. 🤩
@DoctorPerin Different people need different things in difficult times, and it's about learning what those things are. Occasionally I'll gently nudge for some extra communication, but I usually trust he knows best for himself.
@DoctorPerin I ask my husband "what do you need from me right now?" When he's going through a rough time. Occasionally it's listening but more often it's joining him in a distraction. Likewise, he knows to ask me, "Do you need a listener or a fixer right now?"
So I just booked a secluded Airbnb for the sole purpose of having a music retreat. Shoving as many of my instruments as possible into my SUV and driving to a remote cabin! It's going to be heavenly!
