I keep wanting to make #malfoid art but ChatGPT keeps blocking it saying it's a "third-party" issue (meaning copyright since it's Harry Potter). Do the other AI have this problem? Is Claude better with this kind of stuff?
@EvilMnightBombr@MatthewOHolt I feel it might actually cause issues with the momentum of this. I've seen this years ago on Tumblr and I want to avoid that. I do agree other names should be utilized as "canon" but I'm utilizing Lyra.
Part 4 ( 1/2 )
A Fatal Gamble
"How pitiful," Voldemort said in a rough, cruel voice. "If you and your foolish family had not betrayed me, I might have let you live—even as miserable servants. But there are no second chances. Goodbye, traitor."
Voldemort raised the Elder Wand and pointed it at her. Dark magic gathered at its tip—a death sentence waiting to kill both her and Harry, who lay beside her like a cold, lifeless body.
Dracaena did not care about his cruel words anymore. Her heart had died when Harry fell. Holding him tightly, she hid her face against his chest and whispered softly before closing her eyes:
"I am coming with you, Harry. I hope in our next life, I can be honest about my feelings... and stand beside you."
One second. Two seconds. Three seconds passed…
No painful spell or green light hit them.
“Protego Horribilis!”
When Dracaena opened her eyes in surprise, she saw that she and Harry were completely protected inside a strong silver shield.
As the dust in the courtyard cleared, a familiar figure appeared from behind her.
Voldemort stopped. His red eyes became narrow and angry as he looked through the smoke. His voice became low and cold like a snake:
"Lucius Malfoy..."
Lucius walked slowly out of the smoke. Proud and calm, he pushed his white-blonde hair back. His black velvet coat moved in the cold wind, showing his tall, straight posture as a pure-blood wizard. He held his silver snake-head cane tightly in his hand.
He tilted his head slightly and spoke in an icy, insulting tone:
"Be quiet, Tom. You are too loud. Do not forget what you really are... just a Half-Blood pretending to be a Dark Lord."
"Father...?" Dracaena gasped in shock, her hands trembling as she held Harry. "Harry... he..."
Lucius walked calmly toward his daughter and knelt beside her. His rough hand gently wiped away the tears on her face, his grey eyes full of love.
"Let go of the boy and step back, my child," Lucius whispered gently.
"But Father—"
Without another word, Lucius took off his warm black velvet coat and wrapped it around Dracaena’s shaking shoulders, covering Harry’s cold body as well. He placed a firm, comforting hand on her shoulder:
"Leave everything else to me. This time, let your father protect you. Choose your own future... and remember this as the last lesson I teach you."
Lucius stood up and stepped past them. His steps were slow, firm, and full of confidence.
Lucius Malfoy—a man who was once a weak servant, a father who could only watch his daughter cry, and a husband who could not protect his wife. But today, he stopped running.
Dracaena sat frozen. Her body shook uncontrollably, and she breathed heavily in deep pain. Watching her father stand like a wall in front of her, she bit her lip to stop herself from crying loudly. Using her very last bit of strength, she pulled Harry’s cold body deeper into the dark shadow of the ruins, leaving the battlefield to her father.
Voldemort narrowed his red eyes with pure hatred: "Do you think you are a hero, Lucius? You are just a traitor, a servant who once knelt at my feet—a snake that broke its own pride!"
"Then let this snake show you... how painful its bite can be!" Lucius smiled coldly, showing no fear in his eyes. "Raise your wand and prove that you deserve to be called a Dark Lord!"
The fight between Lucius and Voldemort broke out like a dangerous storm. Red and green lights flashed everywhere in the dark sky. However, the difference in their strength quickly showed. Lucius was already exhausted, and his shirt was covered in blood from old wounds. His hand holding the wand began to shake.
Lucius knew that: if he fought Voldemort with pure magic power, he would die in a few seconds.
So, he slowly backed away, leading Voldemort toward the broken stone walls of the Great Hall.
“Is running away all you can do, Lucius?!" Voldemort spat, silently flicking his wand to send a devastating wave of the Torture Curse.
Lucius turned the dust into fake figures to make the spell miss. Right away, he waved his wand to break the heavy stone pillars above. Tons of rocks fell down, forcing Voldemort to stop and destroy them.
Without giving his enemy time to rest, Lucius with a swift flick of his wand, turned thousands of broken glass pieces into a storm of sharp silver blades, forcing Voldemort to raise a shield.
With a cold sneer, Voldemort blasted the glass blades away with a wave of dark fire that surged straight toward Lucius. Though exhausted, Lucius raised his wand, creating a shimmering shield that blocked the fiery attack. The force knocked him back several steps, but he gritted his teeth and stood his ground.
Angered by his resistance, Voldemort pointed his wand directly at Lucius’s chest, sending a deadly beam of green light slicing through the air. "Avada Kedavra!"
Acting on instinct, Lucius pulled a heavy stone slab from the ruined bridge to block the curse. The green light shattered the rock with a deafening explosion, showering him in sharp debris and dust.
Gathering every last drop of his magic, Lucius pointed his wand at the stone bridge beneath them. After one last strong spell to break the bridge, Lucius fell to his knees, completely out of magic.
"A pathetic trick," Voldemort sneered, walking through the smoke and simply waving his wand to hit Lucius with a cruel Torture Curse.
Lucius bit his lip until blood ran down, shaking on the cold floor, but he refused to beg for mercy. Voldemort lowered his wand slowly. His red eyes looked down at the bleeding man, and he smiled cruelly:
"Proud until the end, Lucius? How sad... your pride only makes your death more painful."
With a sharp movement of the Elder Wand, black magic chains wrapped tightly around Lucius, pulling him high up to the roof of the Great Hall. Voldemort flew up casually and landed on the edge of the roof, stepping heavily on Lucius’s bloody chest to enjoy his victory.
But he was wrong.
High on the dangerous roof, Lucius burned the absolute last spark of his life and magic. Ignoring the terrible pain, he reached out with his bloody hand and grabbed Voldemort’s ankle tightly, locking him in place. With his other hand still holding his wand, he pointed it straight at the stone roof beneath them and cast a devastating 'Deprimo' spell!
BOOM!
The stone roof collapsed completely. Lucius used himself as bait, dragging Voldemort down into a wild struggle in the night sky as heavy rocks fell around them. They fought violently in the air before hitting the lower roofs.
At that moment in the air, Voldemort used a powerful burst of magic and pushed Lucius away violently. Lucius’s body fell fast from the high roof and crashed hard onto the stone ground right in front of Dracaena. The terrible sound of breaking bones filled the air.
Voldemort flew down through the black smoke and landed smoothly next to the pool of blood. He looked down coldly at the dying man, whose weak chest was still barely moving with shallow, painful breaths. Lucius was barely alive, his body crushed and trapped in agonizing pain.
In the bloody mud, Lucius tried hard to open his eyes. His weak grey eyes, still full of love and worry, looked toward the dark corner where his daughter was hiding.
Voldemort saw that look. With a cruel smile, he waved his wand to remove the coat hiding her, and stepped hard on Lucius’s broken chest. He looked up and shouted loudly:
"LOOK CLOSELY, DRACAENA!" Voldemort roared, his voice echoing across the ruined castle. "This is the price of betrayal! I want your father to stay alive just long enough to see the Malfoy family fall apart!"
"FATHER! NOOOOOOO!"
A desperate scream tore from Dracaena’s throat. Her heart completely broke as she saw her father covered in blood.
Complete despair filled her mind. Right in front of her eyes, her father—the man who had always protected her—lay crushed in the bloody mud, unable to move.
The two most important men in her life had both been broken before her.
