I stood with Borough President Vanessa Gibson, Assembly Member Landon Dais, GrowNYC, and Hunger Free America to oppose Donald Trump’s proposed $300 billion cut to SNAP—the program that puts food on the table for 40 million Americans.
In the Bronx, one in three residents depends on SNAP. Food is not a privilege—it is a right. Not a luxury—but a lifeline.
In case you missed it, I joined @patkiernan on @NY1 this morning for a post-election & post-SOMOS debrief.
Our party is doing a lot of soul searching right now, but it’s not complicated: we need to deliver on bread and butter issues.

🚨NEW: Senator Elizabeth Warren has called on Senate Democrats to confirm a flurry of federal judges and regulators prior to Republicans retaking the majority.
RETWEET if you agree with @SenWarren!
To my neighbors #SeenIn13, muchísimas gracias.
It is the honor of my life to represent the communities where I was born and raised, and am raising my own children in the State Senate.
The work continues.
Kamala Harris's campaign has claimed she's winning late-deciders by double-digits.
The NYT-Siena poll finds the same.
Other evidence suggests that's indeed plausible -->
"Nine rifles pointed at her face",speaking of Liz Cheney.
Seem normal to you?
Everyday I have my Trump opinions confirmed.

I have always fought to ensure New Yorkers have the right to make their own decisions about their own bodies.
Now, we can enshrine the right to abortion into our state constitution and protect it for generations to come.
Flip over your ballot and vote YES on Prop 1.
This unfair treatment the Mayor thinks he is getting from Room 9 is entirely of his own design.
It’s what happens when you are dishonest and opaque with the press, and treat them as the enemy for doing their job. It’s not a good sign when a leader treats accountability like an attack.
In context of a political culture purportedly built on traditionally manly virtues—strength! bravery!—the most powerful & well defended men can be so puny, so cowardly. Especially while others with far fewer resources, including their employees, have been so much braver.
Tomorrow is the first day of early voting in New York, and abortion is on the ballot.
When you go vote, flip over your ballot and vote "YES" on Prop 1 to enshrine the right to abortion in our state constitution.
It's your body. It should always be your choice.
Remember to flip your ballot to the six proposals on the back!
Proposal 1 enshrines civil rights protections into our state constitution.
Proposals 2 - 6 are from Mayor Adams and could weaken your voice and checks-and-balances.
This week, my office held educational events in #TheGreat28 to discuss the impact of these ballot proposals.

"The difference between us is that he's going to have an enemy's list. I'm going to have a to-do list to work on your concerns."
That to me was a brilliant distillation of the stakes in this race. @KamalaHarris should pound this constantly from now to the end.
