@dianamhope Lys sat back, just watching them and letting Celia love on him. It had only been a day, but Jack had missed her so much (for good reason). With how tired Celia was, she wouldn't be surprised if she could just walked out without Celia realizing.
@dianamhope "Yeah, I do. But it might take a bit to make." She gestured to the pumps. "And I dont want you getting mastitis. I don't think hes *that* hungry yet."
Jack's little face made her giggle. "Hes not screaming his head off, anyway. I'll go make that."
@dianamhope Lys' head snapped up, wide-eyed. "You what?!"
The sound startled Jack, his face scrunching up. Lys smacked a hand over her mouth, instantly feeling bad. Instead, she brought out the pumps, setting them on the bedside table. "You what?"
@dianamhope "About a day." Lys watched them, relieved that Jack could talk to her again, none the wiser. A pause, Lys lowering her gaze to the ground to hide the way tears welled in her eyes. She scratched at her shoulder. "I thought you were /gone./"
@dianamhope Safe. Celia was safe and sound, back home. The sight of her in bandages made her heart ache something fierce, she she wouldn't be surprised if the IV had painkillers in it. "Hi."
@dianamhope Being in central London, it didn't take long to get to the hospital. Lys had to sit in the waiting room as Celia was treated, trying to comfort Jack and clean him up.
@dianamhope She could feel his fear and Celia's, holding the baby closer. The medics were trying to cover the scratches to slow the bleeding. "We can't let you hold him, ma'am," another medic replied, cleaning off blood from Celia's neck and chest. "Moving will cause you to bleed more."

@dianamhope "You won't die, ma'am," the medic informed her calmly, getting her vitals. Lys reached out, grasping Celia's hand tightly.
"You'll be okay." She wasn't sure if she was trying to convince Celia or herself, anymore. "I'm here. Breathe, Celia."
@dianamhope Lys did her best to stop the bleeding and clean up any blood before the paramedics got there with a gurney. She managed to grab Jack and the diaper bag before following them out.
@dianamhope Guilt immediately took over the frustration, but at least Celia was staying still. Her voice softened, guiding Celia's hand to hold the shirt. "It's okay. You're okay. Just stay awake, they'll be here soon."

@dianamhope The sight of Jack made her eyes widen. She could see why Celia was freaking out– it certainly looked like he'd been hurt. But he was unbothered in the crib. "Sit down, please!"
@dianamhope Revive? What? "He's not." Lys followed, trying to keep the cloth pressed to Celia. "Baby, it's your blood. He's been with me the whole time."

@dianamhope Lys grabbed her wrist, pulling her back onto the bed. "Don't. Move." Lys pressed the cloth to the scratches, trying to stave off Celia bleeding out. "Stay still. Please." Her voice cracked on the last word, pleading.
@dianamhope "You're safe." Her voice trembled, stripping off her shirt to press to the wounds. There was too much for gauze to handle alone. "They're on their way. Stay awake."
@dianamhope Tears flowed freely, a sob escaping her as the call picked up. She put it on speaker and explained the situation as best she could through crying, rushing to grab first aid to at the very least stop the bleeding.
