@herdyshepherd1 Agreed, it’s a real shitshow over here. This didn’t happen overnight though; we’ve been heading in the direction of bread and circuses for a long time. We’ve morphed into a nation of idiots
@herdyshepherd1 My dad read this to me when I was a child … and I read parts of it to him when he was dying. Such memories between a father and a child, then a child and a father, such love handed down through the generations. I am fortunate indeed to have had this gift
@marburyjack I became a reader in the 1970s, have read a lot of these - did you ever read ‘I am the Cheese’, by Robert Cormier? That book messed me up for a long time
@marburyjack Oh, I love your books - they could easily have included Winger, or Ghost Medicine or Stick, or any of the others. I haven’t been a bookseller in a long time but you were one of the first authors I read, and then was fortunate to meet
@SteamshipMA Ummmmm I forgot to take my card out of my pocket and it went through the washer and dryer … will it still work? I think I have 22 rides left on it 😁
@jchristie My brother committed suicide 35 years ago. You never really get over it, but you will learn to live with it. It just won’t be the same. I’m so sorry
@herdyshepherd1 You’re one of the reasons I have a Twitter account. You and your farm, your family, your writing, your innate humanity — they all were a source of comfort during the pandemic. I hope you’ll be active on Instagram ❤️

@WhiskeyRadish Yep I think it’s easier to read when you have to click on the image - plus, seeing only part of the image makes you want to see the rest of it 🙂
This on par if not better than the Olympic James Bond scene.
The Queen having tea with Paddington - incredible that at 96 and after 70 years on the throne she still has the power to surprise #platinumpartyatthepalace
