I’ve realized that my favorite type of media always contains a slice-of-life vibe within a completely bizarre setting.
I think that’s why I’ve been quite obsessed with the worlds of Blue Archive and Code Geass lately, where political feuds are interspersed with high school drama.

@norameoww Theft is never moral or correct. But, when a majority of Americans cannot afford the cost of groceries and job-searching is nearly impossible, it seems like their only option.

The reason for this is the widening class disparity in the west. Some call it an “oligarchy of the 1%.”

The mentality is “If I steal from a multi-million dollar corporation, their losses will be extremely minimal.”

It’s stealing from a small business that’s considered a sin.

@norameoww I am not implying that Japan has it any better; it's just that, when economic hardships arise, Americans with the privileges of travel take on a "Robin Hood" mentality.
It largely stems from cultural differences. It is normalized to “steal from the rich and give to the poor.”

Wages are not adjusted for inflation: many Americans live in poverty. Most cannot afford to travel domestically.
