๐จ ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt reveals in Israel that he's been working with all the top AI Frontier Labs to push them to suppress "anti-Semitism."
"We've been working with the Frontier LabsโOpenAI, Anthropic, Alphabet, the company that runs Gemini, Google, Meta, who runs Muse, and others, X, who run Grokโtesting their models and using the results to push them to do better."
"We've had excellent collaboration with Silicon Valley."
"We've run the tests and seen where anti-Semitism shows up and helped them develop strategies to tackle it right in the source code."
The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

@xenocosmography@jeremykauffman But 75 years ago we invented this brand new technology called prisons. And can't you see how effecively those protect everyone from evildoers? (especially the other people in prison... But that's another topic)
So now we obviously can move past all of human history.
@tonyapc42 You're only seeing one side of the equation. If the relationship is so one sided in our favor, why do so many see it lopsided in their favor? Just all haters? Some maybe but all? Keep your eyes open and keep reevaluating.
Again, I do agree that this isn't issue #1. It matters tho
@arrowoog@michaelbd No. Nothing is easy about administering justice to awful murderers. How we treat them does have consequences on the character of society. Lock them all in a cage and let them keep preying on each other is worse for them and us than execution.
This isn't an achitectural problem.
Whatโs even more unfortunate about the โinadmissibilityโ debate, is that it is predicated on the sufficiency of prisons, meanwhile the actual moral emergency in our justice system isnโt the death penalty but the tolerance (even the encouragement) of violence and rape in prison, which is common.
@ThomBrady5 Of course you could just say"zero disagreement is welcome on this topic"
But again, the question is, why would you? I'm not condemning you. I'm not detracting from your other efforts. I'm saying that I think your approach to this topic does
@ThomBrady5 I seriously appreciate your accomplishments on this. I hope my disagreement on the strategic approach to another topic doesn't detract from that.
@ThomBrady5 No. That's not the case. Mostly I just hit "like".
I'm offering calm, reasonable disagreement on a substantive issue. Which is something I rarely do bc I know I'm a total nobody on here. But you seem willing to engage with whomever so I gave it a shot. Please keep it honest.
@ThomBrady5 I know I've already written more than you're likely to bother reading. One final wrap up:
I'm fully opposed to wasting any political capital or momentum on anti-Israel first. I'm also against demoralizing and gatekeeping out anyone who feels strongly about changing the status quo
@ThomBrady5 ...has persuaded you that you personally must take a stand in favor of jews and alliance with Israel. But any sensible analysis of the situation is that there are more than enough people filling that role. Tell that person/people to fuck off and side with your followers on this.
