My blood is boiling @FCBarcelona.
PSG took barely an hour to post about Messi. Bayern, Napoli and even NBA accounts showed him respect.
Meanwhile, you stayed silent and even deleted your own comment. Absolutely pathetic.
A thread :
What if the 2026 World Cup went completely, perfectly right for Argentina?
A fair parallel timeline: Zero media smear campaigns, no referee controversy noise, and FIFA operating completely free from political pressure. Total peace. ๐ฆ๐ทโจ
Yet, even when reality tested them with a world against them, La Scaloneta flipped the script every single time. They fought through every obstacle, flipped the table in stunning fashion, and famously humiliated England en route to the final! ๐ฆ๐ท
Then comes the final against Spain. Scaloni orchestrates a tactical masterclass. El Toro Lautaro Martรญnez subs on in the second half to inject ultimate clinical brilliance as usual.
Argentina plays the game of their lives, smashes Spain, and claims the fourth star! ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ท
Over the past 4 years there has been a constant smear campaign against Argentina just because they kept winning everything. Every tournament was suddenly โriggedโ, every referee was โhelping Argentinaโ and FIFA was accused of doing everything possible to make Argentina win.
The funny thing is that since then, FIFA has actually done the complete opposite.
Messi was robbed of one of the clearest Player of the Tournament awards youโll ever see at a World Cup. Now Paredes gets a ridiculous 10-game suspension, while Borja Iglesias got nothing for punching Cristian Romero in the face. Jude Bellingham slapped Valentรญn Barco in the back of the head and nothing happened. Dani Olmo called Argentine players โfucking monkeysโ and again, no real action, Ayala was punished for reacting to his words.
For years people were desperate to push the idea that Argentina were protected because they were winning. But when Argentina are the ones getting treated differently, nobody cares.
You can hate Argentina, you can be tired of seeing them win, thatโs football. But at least be consistent.
Leo Messi dropped historical World Cup at the age of 39, while knowing his father was living his final days.
No one would have blamed him for walking away to be by his fatherโs side. Instead, for two months, he kept fighting to bring one more joy to us.
It makes what he did even more extraordinary.
Rest in peace, Jorge Messi and all the strength to Messi family โค๏ธ
