33 Years Ago Today: August 2, 1992 - Spa 24 Hours: Steve Soper, Jean-Michel Martin, & Christian Danner clinched the closest finish in race history, winning by 0.48s in their #5 #BMW E30 M3 Evo. Soper’s last-lap pass at the Bus Stop chicane outfoxed the #3 M3 as seen in the video.

1989 #BMW E30 M3 Johnny Cecotto Edition: 2.3 liter, four-cylinder, Bosch Motronic fuel-injected S14 engine, producing 215 hp (158 kW) at 6,750 rpm and 230 Nm (170 ft. lbs.) of torque at 4,600 rpm. 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in approximately 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h). A total of 505 units were produced between April 1989 and December 1990, including 480 Johnny Cecotto Editions and 25 Roberto Ravaglia Editions, with an additional 80 Swiss-market Johnny Cecotto Editions featuring a slightly detuned 208 hp engine. July 23, 1989 - Spa 24 Hours: The two red and white Bastos/Castrol M3's, #17 on the right driven by Laffite, Martin and Grouillard and the #18 on the left driven by Béguin, Quester and Tarquini ..both cars dominated the race for 19 hours until #17 had an accident and #18 lost its clutch.
