Ive received many requests for updates about my mom Lori Lee Malloy’s case. Here is the full scoop on where things stand:
My mom was exhumed on February 1. I was told that day it would be 4-5 weeks before we had results from her forensic exam/tests.
I was told yesterday that results are usually back within 60-80 days, but the lab is averaging 100 days now (not their fault, ME’s Office has been awesome - those folks are BUSY).
Today is day 85, week 12.
I can’t even explain what this wait is like. I take every case personally but nothing will ever compare to hers. My mom’s case changed me as a person. She made me brave, showed me I’m strong and reminded me to stand up for what I believe in. I’ve given everything in me to this fight for her — and now it’s entirely up to science.
The entire case hinges on these results. Three years of investigating and fighting, all down to two boxes: cause and manner of death.
If I’ve learned anything from the incredible detectives I’ve gotten to know, it’s to stay even-keeled, keep moving forward when you can and never back down. No matter what happens next, I’m ready.
My mom’s case is in the best hands with truly brilliant, good people. Considering overwhelming prosecutor/lab tech workloads, incredible progress has been made since it was reopened in November. The investigation is ongoing. Everyone is doing their best.
Hoping to have answers by Mother’s Day and will update all as able/when appropriate.
Huge thanks to @EastProvPD & @AGNeronha for all their hard work and to everyone for the support. It means everything.

A lot of people have asked me why I try so hard to find my sister. My thoughts are why wouldn't I? This is what family is supposed to do. We have helped eachother our whole lives. I'm not stopping now when she needs me the most.
