To understand what is happening in the West Bank today, listen to what Bezalel Smotrich said back in 2017 he intended to do.
In the “Decisive Plan” he wrote, Smotrich openly articulated the logic of elimination in the West Bank: establishing permanent and irreversible Jewish control and sovereignty while dismantling Palestinian collective existence.
One of the plan’s central tools is “victory through settlement”: expanding settlements and taking over land in order to make Jewish sovereignty an irreversible fact and prevent the possibility of a contiguous, independent Palestinian existence.
The plan leaves Palestinians with three options: relinquish their national aspirations and live under Jewish supremacy, leave, or be defeated by force if they resist.
Smotrich did not invent this project, and the current government did not start it. The plan was also never formally adopted as government policy. But today, Smotrich holds extensive powers over the West Bank, and central elements of this vision are being translated into policy, budgets and action on the ground.
Land takeovers, expanding settlements and outposts, expelling communities and deepening Israeli control are not separate events. They are part of the same political project.
This is the Elimination Project. Read more in our new report. >> https://t.co/aWjyA06fAp
The first photos of the three Israeli "spies" arrested in Egypt
The Israeli newspaper *Yedioth Ahronoth* published photos of the three "spies" detained in Egypt; all of them belong to the Al-Azazmeh tribe from the Negev town of Segev Shalom.
The detainees are Bilal Masoudin (27, married with two children), Bilal Salem Abu Aish (28, married with five children), and Ahmed Al-Doji (25).
The Hebrew newspaper reported that the three men were apprehended by Egyptian General Intelligence at the Taba crossing on March 21, after being ordered to exit their taxi and transfer into Egyptian intelligence vehicles.
*Yedioth Ahronoth* stated that Egyptian authorities continue to withhold information regarding the fate of the three Negev Bedouin Israelis—who have been detained for six months—while Tel Aviv acknowledges its inability to obtain official details, offering only brief responses that leave the families in a state of growing anxiety.
The newspaper added that the families received messages indicating the detention was not due to a criminal offense, but rather matters concerning Egyptian national security.
It noted that the families had maintained media silence for months in hopes of the men's release, but all inquiries proved futile; even the Egyptian lawyers hired by the families resigned after failing to secure any information. Meanwhile, the Israeli Foreign Ministry, the Prime Minister's Office, and the President's Office have offered only terse replies, stating simply that they would provide updates the moment any new information became available. It was noted that former Knesset member Taleb a-Sana—a lawyer—was retained by the families to handle this obscure case. He contacted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog, and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, but received only brief responses stating that the matter was being addressed. He expressed frustration at the lack of a serious response, contrasting this with the immediate attention Israelis detained elsewhere in the world typically receive.
*Yedioth Ahronoth* reported that lawyer Yitzhak Meltzer, based in Be'er Sheva, also contacted relevant Israeli government ministries but failed to obtain answers. Meanwhile, Merav Marx, Director of the Diplomatic and Civil Law Department at the Foreign Ministry, stated that the ministry has been working with the relevant Egyptian authorities since March 21. She confirmed her understanding that the three men are in custody but noted that she lacks further information, despite numerous inquiries.
The Hebrew newspaper added that Israel’s Ambassador to Egypt, Ori Rotman—who is operating from Tel Aviv because his credentials have not yet received Egyptian approval—refused to comment on the detention case and referred the newspaper to the Foreign Ministry spokesperson. Meanwhile, former MK Taleb a-Sana, upon visiting the Egyptian Embassy in Tel Aviv and meeting directly with the Egyptian consul, found that the only response provided was that the three men were in custody.
It was further noted that the Israeli Foreign Ministry issued a statement confirming it is handling the case of three Israeli citizens in Egypt with whom contact has been lost. The ministry stated that it had submitted requests to Egyptian authorities for official information but had not yet received an adequate official response; it affirmed that it would continue to engage with Egyptian authorities and maintain contact with the families. You are criminal terrorists justifying your brazen crimes in full view and hearing of the world. You cannot lie; it is you who must stop the lies, not the rightful owners of the land. You are nothing but usurpers and thieves.

There is an important distinction between illegal construction and “forced displacement.” Israel does not have a policy of "compelling" Palestinians to leave simply because they are Palestinian. In many cases, demolitions involve structures built without the permits required under Israel’s planning regime, particularly in Area C.
Israel’s security policies also have to be understood in the context of decades of Palestinian terrorism, including suicide bombings that killed thousands of Israelis and repeated attacks and infiltration attempts from Judea and Samaria. The military presence and security measures are responses to Palestinian terrorism.
Violence by Individual Jewish Israelis is in response to Arab Palestinian attacks. Response attacks by re-settlers should not be portrayed as evidence that Israel’s entire security policy is designed to expel Palestinians. That is absurd
The reality is considerably more complicated than the false anti-Israel slogan “Israel is forcibly displacing Palestinians.” #StopTheLies #Antisemitism #Israel #FactsMatter #StandWithIsrael #DoubleStandards #Hypocrisy #Zionism
The @BoardOfPeace is not acting in the interests of Palestinians, it is acting as a facilitator for Israel which continues to capture more territory & push the entire population of Gaza towards the sea.
