Vi Stargate: Puerta Estelar cuando era un enano, con mi madre en el cine. Me impresionó muchísimo cómo, en una sola película, juntaban egiptología, ciencia ficción y acción militar.
Un par de años después vi la segunda parte (lo que yo creía que era la segunda parte, siendo en realidad el capítulo piloto de la serie) y deseé fuertemente que hicieran una tercera.
Luego me enteré de que había una serie ¡Y el protagonista era MacGyver! Tenía que verla.

Y eso hice. Durante más de 10 años no me perdí ni un capítulo. Gracias a Stargate aprendí a hablar en inglés (porque muchas veces tenía que ver los capítulos en inglés para estar al día), gracias a Stargate me hice fanático de las series (porque cuando no había Stargate, tenía que ver ALGO)

Me vi las series (las tres) unas 15 o 20 veces. No me canso de verla aun hoy en día, y llevo desde que se canceló Stargate Universe deseando que saquen más.

Me vi BattleStar Galactica porque me recordaba a Stargate (aunque demostró de lejos ser una serie excelente)

Stargate reunía mi afición por la arqueología (Daniel Jackson), la fuerza del feminismo (Sam Carter), la perspectiva exterior (Teal'c) y el honor y la lealtad de los militares que se preocupan por defender, no atacar (Jack O'Neill).

Stargate me enseñó que no dejamos a nadie atrás.
