Wow. 1,000 University of California professors signed an open letter to the Board of Regents demanding they bring back standardized testing after it was removed during covid for equity.
They reveal that many STEM students are BELOW Middle School level in Math!
“The SAT mathematics requirement is not an obstacle to equity; rather, it is a prerequisite for it. Failing to measure preparation gaps does not remove barriers; it moves them into the classroom, where they become harder to overcome.”
WA spends 14.7% of their funding on non-academic student-support - and mental health, not to mention academics, just get worse. And this was all before HB 1634 and HB 2429!
A female student publicly spoke out after girls at her high school said a biological male was using the girls’ locker room and watching girls change.
Instead of protecting the girls…
school officials allegedly told the girls THEY could leave if they were uncomfortable.
That is backwards.
Girls should not have to surrender privacy in order to participate in school sports or activities.
Girls should not have to choose between speaking up and being labeled hateful.
And girls should never be made to feel like their boundaries don’t matter.
Now the Department of Education has launched a civil rights investigation into the district under Title IX. For 54 years, Title IX has protected opportunities for women and girls. And this June, during Title IX Month, the message from the Trump Administration is clear:
women’s spaces matter.
"Teenagers do dumb things. Most of them don't lead to their death."
Anne lost her 15-year-old son, Weston, after he took a pill that he thought was a pain killer but was laced with a deadly dose of fentanyl.
Could this happen to your child?
No one objects to teens learning how to shake hands or make eye contact.
But why does every effort to teach "career skills" now require measuring, scoring, digitizing, and credentialing them?
That's the tell.
The common thread running through modern "soft skills", "durable skills", employability skills, and Portrait-of-a-Graduate initiatives is not merely career preparation.
It's psychometric infrastructure.
The labels change, but the objective remains consistent: make personal traits and dispositions visible and actionable at scale.
These are the same "education reform" networks that built Common Core, funded and promoted by many of the same foundations, nonprofits, and policy groups.
Parents and Teachers: pay attention to what they are building.

What if the real cost of “support” in schools is far bigger than parents realize with none of the promised results?
In this conversation with @ALegalProcess Chris Evans, we dig into the explosive growth of mental health programs and social emotional learning in public schools, and the startling question underneath it all:
If districts are spending billions on these programs, why isn’t the data showing the promised results?
Are schools truly helping kids, or pouring more money into a system that keeps expanding without proving its value?
Join us for a hard-hitting look at the numbers, the incentives, and the consequences parents need to know.

Bolshevism happened.
The corruption of libraries with repulsive books, and the promotion of deviant sexual behavior in schools, are documented below; we are re-living the revolution. [HRIP,1950]
NEW: Seattle Public Schools is hosting a "Flag Raising & Pride Party" on Tues, 6/2. The district is also encouraging kids to march in the Pride Parade
I don't recall them having a flag-raising for other occasions this year. For example, no special ceremony for Memorial Day
The Mastery Based Learning (MBL) workgroup made a decision, according to their own records, to use the opportunity to pilot MBL in WA to "decolonize education." Looks like they are doing that, in part, by using SPLC curricula? @TinaDescovich@scarlett4kids@Tyler2ONeil
Who's behind the Mastery-Based / Competency-based Learning Collaborative and why are they seeking to embed themselves in schools across the Nation like NY, WA and others? "Learning for Justice" SPLC, etc @4TiffanyJustice@Moms4Liberty@BrandiKruse

We reported on this back in 2024 that the WA state Board of Education was partnering with the SPLC. So curious that Chris Reykdal, who sits on that board, told me he didn't know much about the SPLC....
@scarlett4kids@TinaDescovich
Does it surprise ANYONE that the SPLC is working directly with a student activist program, which is being promoted by the WA state MBLC, which is a project of the WA Board of Ed? There's a bill in the house right now to fully fund the MBLC. @4TiffanyJustice@Moms4Liberty
Superintendents who look out for kids could be fired from their jobs. If kids' best interests are really what these board members have in mind, why are they punishing teachers and administrators helping kids? We HAVE to vote yes on IL26-001. https://t.co/vJsng6jUrv
BREAKING: The Professional Educators Standards Board (PESB) has tabled a vote on Superintendent discipline changes to the WAC until the board has had sufficient time to consult with the Tribes. 👍
Your local superintendent could be fired for keeping you informed about what's going on with your student at school. Vote yes on IL26-001 to protect superintendents and teachers who want to help you support your student. https://t.co/cywHrDBU9K
Seems like something useful for @AAGDhillon. Not shocking that Washington, even while the DOJ is investigating non-compliance with Federal Law keeping secrets from parents, is forcing Superintendents to comply with potentially conflicting state directives or lose their job.
