TSMC is planning to increase prices for its 3nm chip manufacturing process by 15% in the H2 2026 due to high AI demand:

• Major tech companies like Apple, NVIDIA, AMD, and Qualcomm heavily depend on TSMC’s advanced nodes, so the increased costs will likely affect smartphones, AI GPUs, laptops, and servers.
• Current 3nm wafers already cost about $18,000–$20,000 each, and upcoming 2nm wafers could exceed $30,000 per wafer.

1GB of RAM is already costing up around $15-$20, now chipset prices will be expensive on top of that.
