We weren’t going to say anything about what happened today, but the situation has reached a concerning level.

Jensen made it clear that he chose to play Dean in the way he felt made the most sense for the character. In the same way, Misha chose to play Castiel through his own perspective. And, as Jensen himself has said many times over the years, fans are free to have their own interpretations, create art, write fanfics, and see the relationship however they want.

But respect needs to go both ways.

You do not have to agree with Jensen’s view of Dean and Castiel, but trying to invalidate the way he chose to portray his OWN character for 15 YEARS crosses a line. We are talking about someone who has always shown immense care for the fans and who does everything he can to attend conventions, even after weeks of exhausting work.

It is sad to see that, instead of using these moments to talk about new projects or career experiences, part of the fandom chooses to turn everything into arguments and disrespect.

Supernatural has always been about connection, acceptance, and humanity. The least the fandom can do is show that same respect to the actors who helped build this story.
