I think we need to rethink the idea of "AI use". People should be able to use AI. Why can't we use AI to write code? Email? Essay? etc? We should reframe this to "incorrect use of AI". There seem to be a new trend of "AI use shaming" and it's completely wrong and misconstrued.

The Limpopo High Court in Polokwane has raised concerns over the alleged use of artificial intelligence in Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke’s bail appeal application.

Judge Pillay said supplementary facts submitted before court should be treated with caution, stating that the advocate who provided the information was not the legal representative appointed in court on Wednesday. The judge further indicated that the claims may have been AI-generated or otherwise unverified.

The court subsequently postponed Shebeshxt’s bail appeal application to 12 June 2026 at 9am.

Yesterday we detected and contained a compromise of an employee device involving a poisoned VS Code extension. We removed the malicious extension version, isolated the endpoint, and began incident response immediately.
