We seek your kind attention to a prima facie incident of discriminatory supporter conduct during the Calcutta Football League match held at Barasat Stadium on 07.09.2026 at 5P.M. between @eastbengal_fc and @mohunbagansg

The attached video records supporters of @mohunbagansg repeatedly chanting “উদ্বাস্তু” (Udbastu —“Refugee”), apparently directed at East Bengal FC and/or its supporters in derogatory reference to their perceived historical displacement and regional/social origin.

Such conduct warrants investigation under Article 15 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, which addresses discriminatory and derogatory conduct based on protected grounds including ethnic, national and social origin. Also whether Article 15 or any other provision is applicable is for the competent authorities to determine after reviewing the evidence and relevant regulations.

We therefore request competent authorities @FIFAcom @IndianFootball @theafcdotcom and the competent disciplinary authorities to take cognisance of the footage, investigate the incident and determine whether disciplinary proceedings and sanctions are warranted under the applicable FIFA/AIFF regulations.

This is not a request to suppress football rivalry. It is a request to ensure that derogatory targeting of people on the basis of their origin or displacement has no place in football.

We request an impartial investigation and appropriate action in accordance with the applicable regulations.

We also wish to respectfully draw the kind attention of the Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge of Youth Services & Sports, Government of West Bengal, @IndranilKhan to this incident and request his intervention into this matter.
