🚨375 vehicles stopped
🚨Five approved screening device tests with less than 50 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood (a pass)
🚨Two three-day licence suspensions

Last night our Traffic Enforcement Unit conducted a RIDE check in Waterloo.
We stopped approximately 250 vehicles, and as a result we had:
- 6 ASD's under 50
- 1 three day suspension
- A charge for improper muffler and completed a CMV inspection which resulted in two charges for overweight vehicle and fail to surrender daily inspection
We also had a young driver come through who did a great job of showing his safe and responsible driving skills.
Lets all keep working on keeping the roads safe!

Between November 15, 2024, and January 1, 2025, Waterloo Regional Police held Festive R.I.D.E. (Reducing Impaired Driving Everywhere) programs throughout @RegionWaterloo.
Officers checked 8,157 vehicles and administered 76 roadside breath samples with an approved screening device Police also laid numerous charges.
All young drivers, novice drivers, and commercial drivers are required to have zero presence of alcohol and/or drugs in their system while driving.
All motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and arrange for a safe ride home.
