The Mountainous Alberta Dinosaur Project is dedicated to understanding the Flora and Fauna of the Late Cretaceous environment along the Rocky Mountain front.
Sorry for the hiatus on news. Now that I am getting settled in for my PhD in Saskatchewan, I should have a little more time to get updates out! He's a new video!

@Kaleb_Thomas_5 It is possible, although several "Daspletosaurus" specimens from the DPF have recently been reidentified as Gorgosaurus, suggesting that Daspletosaurus is far less common in the DPF than previously thought. So it's more likely to be Gorgosaurus. Time will tell though!
Next video is up! A second #BrazeauFormation bonebed on the same day! Now for next year, how to get all my finds collected! Please be kind and subscribe, it will help us expand our fieldwork!

Last week we spent a day looking for the incorrectly mapped @RoyalTyrrell Gorgosaurus libratus quarry for TMP.1968.3.1 Where it was mapped is almost only grass (pic1), hwvr, 1968 photos show it elsewhere. Fortunately we found the original quarry 1040m from map point!
More adventures from the Dinosaur Park Formation working on biostratigraphy to compare to the Brazeau Formation! It started off wet... and muddy, but dried up enough to allow us to find a new hadrosaur bonebed.

We have our second video up on YouTube now! Come see the work we are doing in southern Alberta, even though our focus is in the mountains!

A clue to what else was found in our “tyrannosaur” site!! Last summer was far more exciting than we originally thought!! A partly articulated specimen in the #BrazeauFormation! This is the same block as our last post with the juvenile hadrosaur dentary.
A hadrosaur dentary found in one of the #BrazeauFormation tyrannosaur blocks! Such a small cutie! Although the posterior portion is missing, a small portion of the coronoid process is present (seen just above the main portion). Another surprise in this block that’s for later :-)
Today is being spent putting blocks of our #BrazeauFormation tyrannosaur back together. These were collected from a small rockslide and need to be mapped together prior to prep work. We’ll keep you updated on the progress!
Working on the preparation of our #tyrannosaur from the #BrazeauFormation in the #Alberta foothills and just started uncovering this beautiful premaxillary tooth!!!
Had a great late season field day yesterday in the #BrazeauFormation! At least 12 more tyrannosaur elements for our big find of the year!! Also recovered a portion of hadrosaur radius and will get the rest next year. #MADP developing well! Thanks to @Arcteryx for keeping us warm!
Made it home alive despite the obvious bears in the area we were prospecting! Great trip, several sites with dinosaur bone were found! So much more #BrazeauFormation to look at next year. Thank you for keeping us warm, dry, and in one piece @Arcteryx! 17km one way, heli next time
https://t.co/hTyvjB9oK7 Leaving the backcountry #BrazeauFormation with success! Unexpected strat was super exciting and several bone fragments! Back next year.
https://t.co/3VEgJYlmBB Testing our new SPOT X before heading into the backcountry to investigate more #BrazeauFormation. Looking forward to having live updates.
Working on our #BrazeauFormation tyrannosaur today! Beautiful day to be hanging on a rope cleaning loose rocks! Thank you to our sponsors @Arcteryx for the very breathable Motus crew t-shirt!
