1-2-3-4 We Declare a Penny War!

An amazing flag ceremony with our veterans this morning! Mrs. Bradley sang our National Anthem, our students raised the flag and recited the pledge, and our veterans are toured classrooms talking about how they have used respect, responsibility and resilience in their service 🇺🇸

Last week, MAES 5th graders discovered how engineering, technology, and pet care come together. During their STEM class, students became Robo-Pet Veterinarians and explored the inside of a robotic dog and compared its mechanics to the anatomy of a real dog! #TeamCardinal
Jeredine Nolen, author of Eliza’s Freedom Road, paid a virtual visit to students at Mt. Airy Elementary School. Fourth graders read this novel as part of their humanities curriculum. They were able to ask questions and learn more about the author.
