I used to believe that Donald Trump was simply an exceptional president.

But then, I watched in real time as the Mainstream Media (mainstream media), the FBI, intelligence agencies, the CIA, Big Tech, and the entire Washington establishment joined forces in an unprecedented campaign to destroy a single man.

The numerous lawsuits, the two impeachments, the endless hoaxes including the Russia one, the Mar-a-Lago raid, the gag orders, the efforts to remove him from the ballot, the attempts to bankrupt him and throw him in prison... all of that was aimed at preventing him from returning to power. Two attempts on his life followed.

With 92% of media coverage being negative toward him while 78% of that for Kamala was positive, he managed to secure a convincing victory in the last election. How do you explain that?

That's when it became undeniable for me: no one faces this level of coordinated and hysterical opposition unless they represent a true existential threat to the system... The system we all know is corrupt and broken. Ordinary politicians don't trigger this kind of coordinated panic.

At that moment, I stopped thinking of him as a great president.

This meme hits one of the biggest frustrations ordinary Americans have with Washington.

Harry Truman once said, “Show me a man that gets rich by being a politician, and I’ll show you a crook.”

Whether people agree with every word or not, the point lands because millions of Americans have looked at Congress and asked the same basic question.

How do so many people go to Washington on a government salary and somehow come out wildly wealthy?

Most Americans work for decades, pay their taxes, save what they can, worry about groceries, insurance, mortgage rates, medical bills, and retirement.

They do not have access to insider briefings, pending legislation, committee hearings, federal contracts, defense spending debates, bailout talks, regulatory decisions, and the entire machinery of government.

Members of Congress do.

And that is exactly why the public is right to be suspicious.

The problem is not success. Americans do not hate wealth. This country was built on the idea that people should be free to build, invest, risk, work, and prosper.

The problem is when political power starts looking like a private investment strategy.

The people who write the rules should not appear to be personally profiting from knowing where those rules are headed.

They should not be able to sit in rooms where decisions are made, then watch their portfolios magically move in the right direction.

At some point, the question becomes unavoidable.

Are these people public servants, or are they members of an elite club using public office as a wealth machine?

That is why congressional stock trading and unexplained political wealth make people so angry.

It feels like there are two systems in America.

One for regular citizens who play by the rules, and another for the powerful who seem to know the rules before anyone else.

If Congress wants trust, it should start with real transparency, real ethics rules, and a real ban on members trading individual stocks while in office.

Until then, Americans are going to keep asking the obvious question.
