Not really. AH are the ones who write this fiction and they decided to create a satirical straw man of Neo-conservatism. Their issue is that they have made this straw man an integral part of their universe in which humanity cannot exist without.

Since this is a game, the player has to be incentivezed to win. Factors also include player agency and game limitations. Satire just doesn't work well when the player is forced to defend humanity through a flawed system. SE is hypocritical but what other choice is there?
