“HYBE X GEFFEN PROTECT KATSEYE
As a company, it is crucial to prioritize the mental health and wellbeing of your artists. Since debut, the members of KATSEYE, especially Manon and Lara, have been subjected to malicious acts, racism, defamation, bullying, and hate. Manon has once again had to address the way she is treated by the online community, she should not be the only one addressing this when she is under a company supposed to be protecting her. For example, an account specifically dedicated to spreading false rumors and creating hate campaigns for Manon has been allowed to remain up with no action from the company for over a year. Despite ongoing concerns raised by us fans (Eyekons), there has been a visible lack of action to address these issues and protect the members.
As fans, we are deeply concerned about the harmful effects these attacks may have on the members' mental and emotional health.
We are therefore calling on Hybe x Geffen to take immediate and decisive action to:
1. Strengthen Legal Measures: Pursue legal action against individuals and groups engaging in defamation, harassment, and malicious behavior toward KATSEYE.
2. Publicly Reassure Fans: Release a statement detailing the measures being taken to protect the group and ensure their safety.
We are hoping that Hybe x Geffen will listen to the voices of Eyekons and prioritize the protection of
KATSEYE against malicious acts intended to degrade and harm them. It's been going on for way too long and the time to act is now.”
