I had the honour of accompanying our leader, @HEInuwaYahaya, alongside the @OfficialAPCNg National Chairman, Professor @nentawe1, and Arc. Yunusa Yakubu , on a courtesy visit to the residence of Distinguished Senator Usman Bayero Nafada.

We were warmly received, and our discussions centered on unity, shared values, and the continued progress of our dear state. Moments like this reinforce our collective commitment to sustaining the gains achieved and advancing the development of Gombe State.

Together, we remain focused on building a stronger and more prosperous future for all.

Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe State, on Sunday, received the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) forms issued through the APC National Secretariat as the duly elected and certified party's flag bearer.

At a brief ceremony held at Gombe Government House, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya formally presented the INEC nomination forms to Dr.Gwamna signifying the completion of the party's internal nomination process and the beginning of the legal process for the submission of candidate to INEC

All praise is due to Almighty Allah (SWT) for His endless mercy, guidance, and blessings. Yesterday marks another important milestone in our collective journey toward a greater Gombe State.

I wish to express my profound gratitude to His Excellency, @officialABAT, GCFR, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthening our democracy. I am equally deeply grateful to our amiable leader and Governor of Gombe State, @HEInuwaYahaya, CON, for his steadfast support, guidance, and for ensuring a transparent and credible process that reflects the will of the people.

My sincere appreciation also goes to the leadership of our great party, the @OfficialAPCNg, at both the national and state levels, for their confidence in me, as well as to all party members and supporters whose trust and belief made this moment possible.

Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna served as Chairman of Gombe State Water Project under Governor Abubakar Habu Hashidu (from 1999 to 2003) who eventually lost his reelection to PDP in 2003. In the midst of that, Gwamna's popularity soared especially as he was turbaned as Sardaunan Gombe.

In 2007, he "outwitted" his political benefactor (Hashidu) to emerge as the guber candidate of the ANPP. In the main election, he contested against the then incumbent (Danjuma Goje) in a bitter contest that was marred with vitriols, manipulations, and violence. Goje won and his Yankalare boys chased Gwamna and his supporters out of the State.

Ever since then, he has crisscrossed major parties in his bid to secure the guber ticket but to no avail.

I've known him for years as he was my neighbour (where my family house is) for near 15 years. He is well read, experienced in business (for years, he ran Amstrade Ventures and was MD of KEDCO), and largely a philanthropist.

It's been a long time coming for him and it's looking like Jamilu's moment is finally here. The choice is for the people of Gombe to make.
