Most of these self proclaimed feminists are not really feminists. They simply have not experienced genuine love, so they convince themselves that they are feminists.
NAIC Managing Director, Hon. Yazid Shehu Danfulani, Urges Nigerian Farmers to Embrace Agricultural Insurance in Line with President Tinubuโs Renewed Hope Agenda
One of the realities we, the people of the North, are turning away from is that the President cannot solve all of the regionโs problems on his own.
Let us not forget to hold our governors accountable. Where has all the money they have been receiving from the Federal Government gone? Do not tell us about funding scholarships abroad, building shiny airports, buying luxury vehicles for government convoys, renovating Government Houses, or sponsoring mass weddings.
Enough of these vanity projects. Show us real investments that uplift the common man, create jobs, improve healthcare and education, strengthen security, and address the basic needs of the people.
Itโs fair to say, What most of the northerners only want is to have northerner in power and to have them dominate key offices of the government even though most of them arenโt doing anything for the north and the north never hold them accountable for not doing their Job.
In case some of us have forgotten, Here in Northern Nigeria, we have a wealth of resources, leadership, and influence. With 19 governors, 57 senators, 195 representatives, and numerous state lawmakers, local government chairmen, and councilors, we have ample representation at every level. Our region boasts key national figures. We are also home to the richest Black man on earth, alongside hundreds of billionaires, revered traditional rulers, and esteemed religious clerics. In addition, we have global influence through leaders like Hajiya Amina J. Mohammed, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations.
Despite this abundance of human and financial capital, the North continues to struggle. Poverty, insecurity, illiteracy, unemployment, high rates of out-of-school children, and severe malnutrition prevail. In states like Kano, Katsina, and Zamfara, over 50% of children suffer from malnutrition is stark evidence of the challenges we face.
The reality is that the North is, in many ways, its own greatest obstacle. Change will not come until we, the people of the North, confront these issues ourselves. We have everything needed to build a brighter future for ourselves and our children. It is time to hold our leaders accountable, invest in education, prioritize security, and uplift our communities. True transformation will begin only when the North rises to fulfill its potential.
It seems like these people are forgetting that personal opinions have no place in Islam. The verse; โููุง ุฅูููุฑูุงูู ููู ุงูุฏูููููโ (There is no compulsion in religion) applies only to non Muslims. If you are a Muslim, you are expected to follow the teachings of the Qurโan and Sunnah. Opposing them is like challenging the very words of Allah and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
Before Feminism, Learn What Islam Says About Womenโs Rights.
DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW ISLAM PROTECTS WOMEN??
In the first instance, people may think that a Muslim women are victim of men and society. Let us see how Islam valued women and protected them from being a commodity that could be sold and bought, let us see how Prophet Muhammad was a women's rights hero in the Arabian Peninsula.
In the pre-Islamic era, when the Arabs had the custom of burying baby girls alive in order to get rid of those โsurplus mouthsโ, Prophet Muhammad promised that anyone who disciplined his daughter well would enter paradise. At that time women were treated like slaves or property and their personal consent concerning anything was considered unimportant, to such a degree that they were never even treated as a party to a marriage contract. Prophet Muhammad went further beyond giving women the right to accept or refuse marriages; he forbade forcing them to marry against their will.
THE REAL FEMINIST: The identity of a Muslim woman is kept after her marriage; she is given the right not to change her family name to her husbandโs name upon marriage. In some Muslim countries, a woman is known by her fatherโs name, as a mark of her own identity. She also has the right to seek divorce, if necessary within the laws of Islam.
Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) was the first one in the peninsula to give women the right to vote, in a time where they were treated only for one purpose and then discarded.
In Africa, particularly in Nigeria, anyone who cannot speak a Western language is often considered illiterate. It is one of the greatest contradictions of our society that people can be highly knowledgeable in their native languages and culture, yet still be judged solely by their ability to speak a foreign language.
