@Batchford_ The worst game in the franchise across the board.
Didn't look right, didn't sound right, and threw most of its gameplay identity away to chase certain trends.
Sonehow still disappointing almost 15 years later.
@DavidSsandman You're correct.
But I'd be hesitant to call it cheating as that usually implies intent. More often people are just bad at understanding what they're reading and make incorrect mental shortcuts from the first time they read a card.
Either way, if you've got a judge call them.
@DavidSsandman I was x-3 going into round 8, so functionally out but with a small chance of scraping day 2.
But then I got walled by Crystron K9 and went out at 4-4.
It felt achievable if a few small things had been slightly different.
Overall had a fun day, though. Very few non-games.
@DavidSsandman Oh no, my nemesis deck!
2 of my losses at YCS Lille today were to K9 decks haha.
I've been having a great time with Dracotail but that matchup is very tough.
@DavidSsandman I just started the game yesterday, barely passed Gestral Village and it feels like it's living up to the hype. Excited to see where it goes.
@DavidSsandman Mainly by nobody knowing what my stuff did, and a lot of people being on decks with crucial field spells at that time like Tenpai and Mimighoul, or Kashtira engines relying on Wraitsoth, so Veidos was a huge problem for them.
@DavidSsandman Good time to get back to locals, what with the new Blue-Eyes deck out next week etc.
Today proves anything can do well with the right meta calls, good play, and just a bit of luck.
@DavidSsandman Yep, I had that dreadful feeling that the dice had sealed it, and then game 2 looked hopeless.
But incredible patience let Kha pull it off and I couldn't be happier about the result
@zZuzu_ You should absolutely continue it.
It's set up like a cycle - you get a Fitz & Fool trilogy, then a series that explores other people/places, then back to Fitz and so on, with significant passage of time between each so you can see how the world and characters develop long term.
@zZuzu_ Oh you're in for a treat. This series is incredible.
I'd recommend trying to get through all 14(?) books - the way everything comes together at the end is incredibly satisfying, and the way both the characters and world grow and change as time passes is very well done.
@Batchford_ Was some of that not likely just because the game had insane magnetism across the board? I'd be surprised if the networking was drastically different from what anything else using P2P was doing at the time.
@YuGiOhCardEU Site kept crashing when trying to get to Checkout and then apparently sold out before I could successfully get a ticket.
Very disappointing.
