Growing up I never had a place to call home, and I kept searching everywhere, trying to belong. But now I realize home was never out there. Home is my body, the place where my soul lives. I live here alone, but I am not alone. The stronger version of me lives here too.
Sometimes I hear that voice saying, 'What’s up, my champ? Are you tired? Just rest. If life feels too heavy, put it down.' That voice reminds me, 'I love you. I will protect you. I will keep you safe, as I always have and always will.'
